For our building PWD bills

Yday I posted in the building group about how Rio created a nuisance and that my son was abused. Joe had to put his foot in his mouth so it gave me the opportunity to state many points which the group would have been unaware of. Here's the transcript 

[10/21, 15:13] AURIEL RIBEIRO SA: Rio has done it again! Went to bark and bite a person on a two wheeler. My son saw them get down and throw stones at him, chasing him into the fields opposite the building where the new road has been made. They abused my son saying we are to keep these dogs inside the compound area so they don't attack passerbys.

[10/21, 16:27] AURIEL RIBEIRO SA: I hope they do so. The other four are getting stoned on account of him.

[10/21, 16:35] S7 Joe Ferrao Ganesh Apartments: There is another dog too which belongs to someone in the building who is the main culprit who starts most of the fights. This dog even comes to bite us and even many people at times in the compound. Make sure that dog is kept inside too

Simple You are a Lover of Animals.You are taking lots of care of all the dogs giving them food on time regularly, You take them along with you for walks too sometimes. I too feed Rio sometimes as he has been coming to my home for many years. I do give biscuits sometimes to the other dogs in the building compound or outside too. 

This dog issues are going on from the time I have come to stay in the Building  April 2006.

Nobody till today could put an end to it. So it would be of great help for everybody if You could  find a solution.

[10/21, 17:05] AURIEL RIBEIRO SA: Joe, I appreciate your support here but I did not bring these dogs here. Juliet was feeding them, Hema was feeding and still give leftovers, Morgaonkar also keeps leftovers, Dominick feeds biscuits, you'll take care of Rio well, and maybe others too give from time to time. But yes, Manuela and I feed all of them daily. I will call SPCA first to ask what is the right thing to do. Then we can proceed from there. Is that ok for everyone? I'm asking permission to contact SPCA because last time when I spoke about Rio, my dog was a puppy and not aggressive. We sterilised him now. Hopefully he will calm down. Rio and the others follow my dog Ebony because that's how a pack behaves. Even when I go for Mass, Rio has followed me into the church and I had to leave Mass and return home. One day the priest shouted because of it and I don't go there now unless I can secure him inside the building gate. If he follows, I go to Mapusa for Mass. So you see, I am terribly inconvenienced. When they follow Ebony, Rio barks at the bikes and scares people. Some who know his behaviour have started threatening him and in the bargain have also abused me saying he's my dog. Abhi was a witness today afternoon when my son was abused. Unfortunately no one took a video. But henceforth I will take videos to show you'll Rios behaviour. Naturally, the others also then chase because remember they have a pack mentality. Take Rio out of the equation and see the difference. I can bet a lakh on this. The others are so timid they jump if you even whack them on the ears. So please decide all of you and give me permission. I have the contacts to get these dogs out.

[10/21, 17:39] S7 Joe Ferrao Ganesh Apartments: Don't get rid of any single dog Plz. Make sure all the dogs  go out at the same time.

[10/21, 17:48] AURIEL RIBEIRO SA: Joe, only Rio has bitten you and Aparajita's maid and you mentioned him biting Siona too. Did any of the other dogs bite anyone in this building? Do you know what trauma they will go through if they are displaced. Maybe Aparajita can explain what the Ngos actually do to these dogs. I feel sick even thinking about it.

[10/21, 18:12] S7 Joe Ferrao Ganesh Apartments: Even the other dogs go bite. Even the other dogs chase vehicles on the road even when Rio is not around. The best option is to get all the dogs out at a time. Even the Tallest Dog is very furious not Underestimating Winnie  n the White Dog too .

[10/21, 20:27] AURIEL RIBEIRO SA: That is absolutely not true. None of the other dogs chase bikers. I will prove this to you via actual bikers who have threatened me. I know who they are. Even Vinod knows its only Rio because his dog gets whacked by him. Anyway, this discussion can only be resolved with proof and I will give it. You give proof of another dog chasing bikes when Rio is not around.

[10/21, 22:26] S7 Joe Ferrao Ganesh Apartments: Are you sure. I have seen so many times n even many neighbours too even your Dog i saw him chasing. Surely will give you proof will take a video when I see again.

[10/21, 22:29] S7 Joe Ferrao Ganesh Apartments: Pls close the Topic. Thts it. I am residing here from 2006 n seen this dogs chasing vehicles. Rio joined this group about 4 to 5 years. The other dogs are here for many years few died too.

I have now written a letter to SPCA.  

Aparajita immediately cautioned about what to expect.

[10/22, 10:17] T7 Aparajita Choudhury Ganesh Ganesh Apartments: I don't think that is right Joe . Only the dogs that bite people or molest passers by need to be dealt with .

[10/22, 10:23] T7 Aparajita Choudhury Ganesh Ganesh Apartments: Two points 

1 if a dog is removed from a premise as a biter by an ngo , he will be euthanized ( killed medically) . That's it . Everybody face this squarely . 

This is the reason I didn't complain about Rio on group and gave my maid the option to leave the job rather than follow this up 

2 No ngo will randomly pick up all the dogs of the area and "disappear " them. 

If it was done with 1 week 6more unknown dogs will move into the territory and these will be strangers to us , unlike these dogs we know and feed.

[10/22, 10:46] AURIEL RIBEIRO SA: Mutual displacement method its called. My friend warned me of this. Euthanasia of older dogs I knew but a biter is cruel.

[10/22, 10:48] AURIEL RIBEIRO SA: These dogs will be placed in a territory infested by other strays and will be attacked by packs there. Survival of the fittest and territorial rights. Too much cruelty. Spca hopefully will give us a humane solution.

Today's meter reading are as below. I only kept on for two hours. But I kept it on full and the pump was off, tank was three quarters full when I switched off. 

Took a picture of Mr Prakash plucking flowers from the Ananta shrub. He is the one who sent that picture to Aparajita, I am sure of it.
